Ressurection IS the difference

The Apostle Paul wrote, "if Jesus is not raised from the dead, we are of all people most to be pitied." He understood that the resurrection of Jesus is the key difference between Christianity and all the other religions of the world.

I often hear preachers say, "its all about the cross." But I have to disagree. I'd say, it’s all about the resurrection. Many people died by crucifixion -- but only one rose from the dead.

We celebrate Easter not because of church tradition or the claims of a few followers of Jesus. We celebrate Easter because there were hundreds of witnesses to his resurrection. In any court of law in any country, an event confirmed by more than 500 witnesses would be indisputable.

Some claim that the disciples of Jesus hid his body and claimed he had raised from the dead. But history records that 11 of the 12 Apostles died as martyrs to their belief that Jesus is alive. Do 11 men submit to horrible torture and death if they had perpetrated a hidden-body ruse?

HE IS RISEN! He is risen, indeed!

John 14:

1
Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
